We are so thankful that you have an interest to serve on the worship team at Gateway!  Our goal is to worship God and to give people an opportunity to experience an encounter with the Holy Spirit as we passionately lead them in song with a bright smile and a warm heart!

The purpose of this application is to inform the various worship team leadership members that you are interested in serving on the team during our main weekend services (Sunday mornings and/or Thursday evenings).

The Gateway Church creative arts team is responsible for helping to create and cultivate an environment of communion and intimacy between God and the local congregation. Members of the team should make an effort to do all things "decently and in order," according to 1 Corinthians 14:40. With that in mind - if joining the team as a vocalist/musician - members should arrive at rehearsal and service call times prepared and with punctuality. While it is not required to memorize every lyric and chord to each song, the front line should be kept free of music stands and papers.

The creative arts team utilizes the Services application within Planning Center Online (PCO) for scheduling of volunteers and mapping out service flows. Members will be expected to download the smartphone app to accept/decline requests to serve, take note of periodic revisions to upcoming services, and utilize rehearsal tracks and lyric/chord sheets at home.

The worship band incorporates click (metronome) and backing tracks to accompany the music portion of each service. Members will be required to wear a pair of in-ear monitors and customize their own mix (with the help of other members and/or the tech team) using personal mixers and/or an iPad (provided by GateWay Creative Arts). If new team members are unable to provide their own pair, they are encouraged to speak with leadership who may be able to loan out a set. - This is not applicable to choir and orchestra team members.

The entire creative arts team at Gateway Church is asked to serve as little or often as they are willing and able to do so. As a result, some members may be requested to serve more or less frequently than others. Team members are welcome to update their scheduling availability as often as necessary to accommodate changes in circumstance and to avoid burnout.
